Course Description
Your ability as a project manager to demonstrate best practices in project management-both on the job and through professional certification-is becoming the standard to compete in today''s fast-paced and highly technical workplace. This course expands upon the basic concepts of project management you discovered in the Project Management Fundamentals course, and offers a job-related approach to successful project management across application areas and industries. In this first of five minicourses, you'll learn about the processes involved with initiating a project. These processes are recognized as good practice on most projects, most of the time across industry groups and will enhance your chances of success over a broad range of projects. This course is designed for experienced project managers who desire to increase their project management skills, apply a standards-based approach to project management and apply for the Project Management Institute, Inc. (PMI®) Project Management Professional (PMP®) Certification.
On the follow-up page of the last lesson of this course, you will find a zip file that contains a testing engine and practice test questions. This same file can be found in each of the other courses in our PMP series. Please note that the application must be installed in order to view the test questions. Once installed, the test application can be used as often as desired.
