Course Description
Program learning objectives are:
Learn to use motivational enhancement therapy (MET) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in the treatment of adolescent marijuana use;
Provide strategies and guidelines for treatment sessions; and
Increase your skills in the treatment of adolescents.
This course is designed to address the problem of marijuana use by adolescents. The program provides instruction on how to conduct a brief, five-session treatment intervention for teens with cannabis use disorders in an outpatient setting. The course of treatment consists of two individual motivational enhancement therapy (MET) sessions, followed by three group cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) sessions.
