Course Description
This course builds on the knowledge from previous courses dealing with network and host IDS. You will examine how an intrusion detection system responds to an alarm and how to tune the system to respond most appropriately for a customer. You will also learn the placement considerations and application principles for implementing an IDS for a customer. After completing the course, you will be able to implement a full intrusion detection system that incorporates both network and host elements. Knowledge from the Examining IDS course is recommended before taking Analyzing Incidents and Designing IDS.
