Course Description

Endocarditis, myocarditis, pericarditis…. The word ending "-itis" is used repeatedly, but the prefix is for different parts of the heart. –itis means inflammation. The prefix and suffix changes can alter the meaning of a term without changing its central meaning by keeping the root the same.
